Amanda Coleman Communications Ltd works with a wide range of clients from across sectors and industries including public and private sector.

Sectors include multinational businesses, retail, local and central government, transport, charities, education, housing, emergency services, publishing, research projects, health, small businesses, and others.

This pandemic has thrown up challenges on a scale previously unseen or experienced even for seasoned crisis management experts. I therefore approached Amanda to help us with our communications recovery plan as it was difficult to see the wood through the trees. I had read Amanda’s book and liked her people centred approach and wider methodology to crisis communications and recovery.

Following a 15-minute call, which Amanda has titled her ‘Think Through Brew’, Amanda and I identified that the best approach was an afternoon workshop with my senior communications team to work through the steps required to develop our comms recovery plan.

Amanda is very relatable and authentic as well as knowledgeable. We all enjoyed the workshop as well as learning a lot from it. It helped give us the confidence to move forward and I am very happy with the outcome.

As a key responder to the COVID pandemic, the communications response of our organisation, both internal and external was of paramount importance. Six months into the crisis, Amanda facilitated a debrief for the communications team in order to establish key learning from the work so far. The day was extremely positive in that it not only highlighted the substantial work undertaken by the team but also key learning that has enabled improvements to the ongoing response. Amanda’s role was pivotal in this as she was able to use her knowledge and expertise to generate discussion, provoke ideas and challenge thinking which has resulted in the function being able to make some significant progress despite the challenging times.
